Annaleigh Amanda Ashford was born in America. The actress is an actor as well as a singer and dancer. One of her first Broadway performances include Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. Annaleigh Ashford, a Tony Award-winning actor and director has spent most of her career working alongside well-known directors and actors on stage and screen. Ashford will be next in the role of Kumail Nanjiani, as Robert Siegel's Hulu exclusive Welcome to Chippendales. It will premiere on 22nd November. Ashford currently works on Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust with Sarah Paulson, Ebon Moss Bachrach and Ebon Mosch-Bachrach. The film is scheduled to stream on Disney's DTC platforms as a Hulu Original. It will be released in 2023, March. Ashford will make a return appearance on Broadway and will be starring alongside Josh Groban in the revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Thomas Kail, director and producer of Hamilton will lead the production. Ashford appeared as Paula Jones most recently in Ryan Murphy FX's American Crime Story Impeachment, which is based on the scandal which was involving Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp in the national security crisis. For two seasons, she played a prominent role in the hit show on CBS called B Positive. Created by Marco Pennette and Chuck Lorre the show also starred famous actors Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo and Ben Vereen.No new to Broadway Ashford has won Tony Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for her performance as Essie as Essie in You Can't Take It with You. Some other Broadway roles for Ashford includes Sunday in the Park, in which she starred with George Wicked legally Blonde, and her role as Lauren in Kinky Boots. For this performance she received an Tony Award nomination. Ashford divides her time between Los Angeles & New York. She was born in Denver and was raised in Denver.
