At the age 5 she started surfing and at 6 was the winner of her first surf contest. When she was 7years old, she had sponsorship. As a young girl, Anastasia started to surf prior to her move from California to Hawaii. She won her first surf event at the age of six, using a board she had found outside of her home. Ashley participated in the NSSA National Championship at age 16. Ashley was awarded the Triple Crown Rookie of the Award in 2003. Ashley was also the winner of two National Scholastic Surfing Association titles and the Professional Surfing Tour of America. Ashley won the 2009 Pipeline Women's Pro in Hawaii. Ashley ranks 59th on the Women's Qualification Series for 2014. Anastasia Ashley posed for Sport's Illustrated as well as Maxim Magazine in 2014. Together with OK1984, a jewelry company during 2014, Ashley debuted her Gypsy Jet Set line of jewellery.
